Rain is needed across most growing areas. Due to the firm prices for Mungbeans, good interest is being received by members for planting seeds.
This interest will not be converted into acres unless we have good December/January rain. If rain is received, a larger than average plant will be expected.
Spring harvest beans are all but non-existent and most crop have been inspected for seed use.
Prices are being driven by the Indian sub continent. Any beans harvested up to March will return above average price if quality is acceptable.
Mungbean world stocks are well down keeping prices firm for the summer harvest.
The Australian dollar is taking the gloss off any large price increases.
